Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island shortly before the end of her final year in junior high school. There are two of her younger siblings as well as an elder brother. Her first exposure to the world of entertainment came in the form of modeling between the ages of nine and sixteen. The beginning of her acting career was at The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She studied the techniques of Sanford Meisner along with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who were trained to this manner along with Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, in which she had to relocate out to Los Angeles. After being offered the lead part for Johnny Mnemonic where she did all of the stunts her own, she proved her self as an actor who is physically fit. With the help of her agent, who represents Matt LeBlanc she scored a role as a guest star on Friends.
